Job Summary

The Human Resource Intern will be attached to Human Resource Office and will be reporting directly to the Human Resource Officer. He / She will be responsible for providing support in all HR activities at Kampala Office as guided by the Human Resource team and ensure  adherence to ALIGHT values and protection principles.  

 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all HR documents are properly filed in the Kampala HR unit Personnel Files
  • Ensure recruitment documentation is complete and organized for filing
  • Support with recruitment - Shortlist Grid; References; Employee Data Form; Bank Information Form; Passport photos, etc.
  • Handle candidate-invitations and scheduling for recruitment, interviews.
  • Scheduling for interviews and arranging all the documents required for the activity to take place.
  • Guide new staff in completing Alight HR paperwork for on boarding.
  • Supporting in regular leave tracking of Kampala staff.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements

  1. Recent graduate with Bachelors or higher diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  2. Interest and exposure working with NGOS in Human Resources and administrative work
  3. Effective Computer skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel) and the internet
  4. High level of confidentiality
  5. Excellent communication skills including excellent writing skills – in English
  6. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
